Moscow considers cooperation between Russia and Azerbaijan in the fuel and energy sphere possible for carrying out “active work in third countries.” As reported by “Arminfo” agency, this was stated at the meeting of minister of fuel and energy of Russia Igor Yusufov with Azeri president Heydar Aliyev. “In this case we will be able to supply additional volume of common electric energy to, let’s say, Turkey,” – Yusufov said, also meaning the opportunity of realization of joint oil and gas projects in Iran, Iraq and other Arabic countries. Aliyev considered the proposal “rather interesting,” and stated that the ministry of energy and the state oil company of Azerbaijan would consider the question.
