BAKU AND KIEV INITIATED CREATION OF GUUAM PARLIAMENTARY ASSEMBLY

Azerbaijan and Ukraine initiated creation of a parliamentary assembly of GUUAM, which includes Georgia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and Moldova. As reported by “De Facto” agency, Ukrainian parliament speaker Vladimir Litvin stated it today after having a meeting with his Azeri counterpart Murtuz Aleskerov. It has also been reported that the assembly first sitting will be held in Kiev in spring 2003.
