KARABAKH CONFLICT SETTLEMENT IS 30-YEAR ROAD, ARMENIAN POLITICIAN CONSIDERS

“The settlement of the Karabakh conflict – is a road of 20-30 years, which we should go through together. Neither Armenia, nor Azerbaijan will solve the problem via bilateral negotiations exclusively.” Leader of the National-Democratic Union of Armenia, Armenian parliament deputy Vazgen Manukian stated it today. In his opinion, the settlement proposals suggested at present do not fit the reality. “A wider package of proposals should be presented, and one should not expect for someone to take the initiative. Armenia should be the first to take the initiative in the negotiation process, not awaiting for the mediators,” – Manukian emphasized. In his words, the present situation in the negotiation process entails Armenia’s staying outside the economic projects being implemented in the South Caucasian region.
