In his words, speaking of the coming deal is still early. In late June 2006 Deputy Chair of Gazprom Board Alexander Ryazanov stated that the company is going to buy Iran-Armenia gas pipeline. In his words, the putting into operation of the gas pipeline will secure gas supplies to Armenia. «There are problems referring to gas transit to Armenia via Georgia, as Georgia affords itself unsanctioned gas taking,» Ryazanov said, reports IA Regnum.
