The OSCE Minsk group format that is engaged in settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is to be kept. Russia first deputy foreign minister Vyacheslav Trubnikov stated that after consultation with the OSCE acting chair, foreign minister of Portugal Antonio Martinez da Cruz. As “Novosty” Russian new agency reports, the Russian diplomat noted, the Portuguese counterpart “realizes quite well the difficulties in the process of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement”. Russia hopes that “no new format will be created to settle the issue” since within the framework of the acting “three” including Russia, the US, and France, “ways of team-work are developed, there is common language and mutual understanding among the parties”. The first deputy foreign minister of Russia reported that the meeting of the “three” with presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan Robert Kocharian and Heydar Aliyev would take place in Prague November 21. “This indicates that we do not give up our efforts aiming at settlement of this not easy problem”, he noted.
