Turkey’s joining the European union is beneficial for Armenia. Ex-Premier of Armenia Hrant Bagratian has stated that today in his interview with journalists. According to him, «at suggestion of some not very smart people, Turkey is not admitted to the European union, being speculated with such a specific issue as the Armenian genocide in Ottoman Empire». Meanwhile, Bagratian noted, Turkey being isolated from Europe will actively develop its relations with the East and that will have negative impact on Armenia. «As a result, we might be at the center of the conflicts between the West and the East just another time», Bagratian noted.
