COOPERATION WITH NATO NOT CONTRARY TO DEVELOPMENT OF MILITARY INTERACTION WITH RUSSIA, ARMENIAN FOREIGN MINISTER CONSIDERS

Armenia’s cooperation with NATO should be considered only within the framework of “Partnership for Peace” program and the Euro-Atlantic Partnership. Armenian foreign minister Vardan Oskanian told journalists about it. In his words, within the framework of these two programs Armenia launches natural cooperation with NATO. At the same time V. Oskanian did not see any collision in the fact that Armenia interacts with NATO simultaneously developing its military cooperation with its strategic partner – Russia. On the contrary, the minister supposes, the development of relations with NATO supplements the military cooperation with Russia.
