GEORGIAN PRESIDENT CONSIDERS JOINING IRAN-GEORGIA COMMUNICATION WAYS THROUGH ARMENIAN IMPORTANT

Georgian President Eduard Shevardnadze has stated about the importance of joining communication ways of Georgia and Iran through Armenia. As “Arminfo” agency reports, the day before yesterday, at the discussion of the new concept of the transport communications development in Georgia, Shevardnadze noted that transport way might become a very important for both the region and Europe. According to him, in the nearest years, the stream of humanitarian and military loads to Afghanistan that might be transported through Georgian territory might increase. Shevardnadze noted that Tbilisi might have such offers from the European Union and US, so “it is necessary already now to start the consideration of that variant”.
