AT TURN OF NOVEMBER AZERI OPPOSITION TO HOLD MEETING DEMANDING RETIREMENT OF HEYDAR ALIYEV

November 24 Azeri opposition forces will hold a meeting of protest demanding retirement of country President Heydar Aliyev and recognition of the results of the referendum on constitutional reforms as void. The decision was made at the sitting of the leaders of 10 opposition parties of Azerbaijan yesterday. The meeting participants criticized authorities’ accusations of “Eni Musavat” newspaper due to publishing facts discrediting Heydar Aliyev and his son Ilham Aliyev. The leaders of “the ten” also demanded that the Azeri leader gave official explanation on the lawsuit instituted in New York court against Heydar and Ilham Aliyevs.
