Armenian sambist Tigran Kirakosyan won a silver medal at the Kazan-hosted 2016European Championships.
Kirakosyan competed againstRussia's Valery Soronkov in the 52 kg weight class to take the second spot.
Mkhitar Mkhitaryan (57kg) and Edik Petrosyan (90kg), also representing Armenia, won a bronze medal each.
The European Sambo Championships kicked off on May 12, set to run through May 16.
