Today the delegation of the World Bank arrived in Yerevan to familiarize with the situation in the energy sphere of Armenia and to discuss giving the last trench of SAC-4 credit. As WB economist Lev Freinkman told “Arminfo” agency, the bank specialists will meet with the leadership of “Midland Resources” British company, which holds most of stocks of energy distribution networks of Armenia. Freinkman noted that the WB did not possess any negative information regarding the company. At the same time he emphasized that the Armenian government had failed to meet the conditions on privatizing the distribution networks and had not invited a famous professional operator, as provided for by the arrangement.
