ANOTHER MASS DEMONSTRATION WITH CLAIM OF HEYDAR ALIYEV’S REMOVAL TOOK PLACE IN BAKU

Last Sunday in Baku, thousands of opposition supporters held a mass demonstration with the claim of Heydar Aliyev’s removal as well as the claims of declaration of the August referendum results on the constitutional amendments invalid. The meeting resolution also included the following claims: to direct all the resources of the state towards the Karabakh issue settlement, to declare political amnesty and to bring all the political refugees back to the state, to guarantee the UN and the OSCE participation in the elections in Azerbaijan, to let the opposition have broadcast time on the state television. At the same time, the facts of violations of rights of journalists were also noted. The Democratic Party of Azerbaijan leader Sardar Jalaloghli noted in his speech that the opposition protest acts would go on until removal of the ruling regime and, added that the “Nuremberg process” would await it.
