Former Georgian parliament speaker, now deputy Zurab Zhvania’s attitude towards resumption of railway communication through the territory of Abkhazia without true settlement of the Georgian-Abkhazian conflict and return of Georgian refugees to Abkhazia is negative. At the same time he ruled out the possibility of solving the question under the pressure of Russia and without preliminary conditions. Resumption of railway communication through the Abkhazian territory is favorable not only for Armenia, but also for Georgia, Zhvania noted. Nevertheless, it will become possible only within the context of beginning of a genuine settlement of the conflict, the Georgian politician emphasized.
