Armenia football head couch resigns after shameful World Cup start

Chief coach of the Armenian National football team Varuzhan Sukiasyan on Thursday, October 13 announced his resignation after after four consecutive defeats in the 2018 World Cup qualification campaign.

“Head coach of the Armenian team Varuzhan Sukiasyan has submitted his resignation,” the press service of the Football Federation of Armenia said in a statement.

Sukiasyan was appointed to the post on Dacember 10 last year. Heis a former Armenian footballer, who has been coaching Ararat football club since April 28, 2015. In 1978-1987, he played for Kotayk.
