POLITICAL PRISONERS NOT INCLUDED IN LIST OF AMNESTIED IN AZERBAIJAN

The group of Azeri political prisoners was not included in the list of persons, who were granted an amnesty due to the anniversary of Azerbaijan’s independence. As reported by “Arminfo” agency referring to Baku mass media, in the words of member of the Azeri State Commission on Amnesty Bakhtiyar Aliyev, one should address a corresponding letter to the country head to be included in the list of the amnestied. This should be done by the prisoners themselves or their relatives. “No such petition was received from political prisoners Iskander Hamidov, Rahim Kaziyev, Surat Huseinov and Alikram Gumbatov,” – the state commission member stated.
