Armenia might become the «gates» to the South Caucasus region for Egypt as well as Egypt might be the way to Asia for Armenia. RA trade and economic development minister Karen Chshmaritian has stated that after the third meeting of the Armenia-Egypt intergovernmental commission on the economic cooperation. According to him, at present, the commodity turnover between the two states is more than $ 1 million. Chshmaritian noted that introduction of preferential terms for the importers of the two states might enhance the economic relations. In the nearest future, in Yerevan, a new center of vaccination where Armenia-Egypt joint production of vaccines and insulin will be organized will be established, Chshmaritian informed as well.
