AZERBAIJAN ATTACHES GREAT IMPORTANCE TO COOPERATION WITH NATO

Azerbaijan attaches great importance to the cooperation with the NATO within the framework of the “Partnership for peace” program. As “Mediamax” agency reports, Azeri foreign minister Vilayat Guliyev stated that at the meeting with NATO combined forces commander-in-chief, US Armed forces commander Joseph Ralstone. Guliyev expressed confidence that that visit would promote development of Azerbaijan-NATO relations. The USA and the NATO are interested in security and stability in the South Caucasus, Ralstone assured. As the American general noted “the choice between war and peace regarding the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue is Azerbaijan’s business”, noting at that, that he personally adheres to the peaceful settlement.
