MILITARY COOPERATION ONE OF KEY ASPECTS OF ARMENIAN-RUSSIAN RELATIONS, ARMENIAN PRESIDENT STATES

The cooperation in the military and technical sphere is one of the key aspects of the Armenian-Russian relations. Armenian president Robert Kocharian stated that at the meeting with the Russian Air Forces commander-in-chief, Colonel-general Vladimir Mikhailov. The issue on further cooperation in the military and technical sphere as well as issues regarding cooperation within the joint system of CIS states air defense were discussed at the meeting. Mikhaylov informed that the 2002 cooperation program had been completed and Russian and Armenian colleagues had already started the development of the 2003 cooperation protocol. Evaluating the combat training of the Armenian Air Defense Forces, the Russian Air Forces commander-in-chief noted that they are ready to fulfill all the tasks assigned.
