ARMENIAN PREMIER AND YUGOSLAVIAN AMBASSADOR CONSIDERED OPPORTUNITIES OF ARMENIA-YUGOSLAVIA RELATIONS REESTABLISHMENT

At present four agreements on Armenian-Yugoslavian cooperation are developed by the government of Armenia. RA Premier Andranik Markarian stated that at the meeting with ambassador of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia Dushan Batakovich. To activate the economic relations between Armenia and Yugoslavia, it is necessary to form legal base as soon as possible, the Premier thinks. The head of the government turned to the situation of the Armenian community in Yugoslavia that had had some difficulties during the confrontations there. The Premier also spoke about the issue of reconstruction of the Armenian Church destroyed in Belgrade and recovery of the construction belonging to the community in order to establish Armenian cultural center in it. In his turn, Batakovish assured that all the issues would be studied and all the opportunities to settle the issues in favor of the Armenian community of Yugoslavia would be considered. The recent cooperation of the two states in different sphere, in particular, in construction, agriculture, light industry are necessary to be reestablished also because at present these spheres are considered perspective, he also noted.
