LIST OF GOODS, ARMENIA-US TRADE PREFERENTIAL REGIME APPLIES TO, MIGHT BE EXPANDED

Within the framework of the meeting of the Armenian-American committee on economic cooperation, the issue of expansion of the list, the preferential regime of US-Armenia trade applies to, was considered. A RA finance and economy minister Vardan Khachatrian has stated that. Armenia has already had a preferential regime with the US for the cigarette trade, he noted. “We promised we would have the goods that would be managed to be exported to the US on preferential terms”, the minister noted. According to him, the proposal of the American side followed the Armenia’s proposal to have an investment program on bilateral trade development. “Several states have already had a free trade regime with the US, but it is still a complicated issue for Armenia”, Khachatrian noted. He also added that the Armenian side had managed to include the issue of the agreement on double tax exemption between Armenia and US in the protocol of further considerations.
