BAGHDAD CONSIDERS TURKEY WILL NOT SUPPORT US MILITARY OPERATIONS AGAINST IRAQ

Baghdad considers that Turkey will not jeopardize its relations with Iraq and will not support the US military operations against the Iraqi authorities. As reported by “Reuters” agency, Iraqi Vice-Premier Tariq Aziz stated it noting that if Turkey contributed to US in that question, “it would not be a friend of Iraq any more.” At the same time Aziz expressed confidence that damaging friendly relations with the neighbor “did not fit Turkey’s interests.”
