The OSCE Minsk group co-chairs plan to meet with the European Union representatives in the nearest future to discuss the possible aid for the recovery of the Nagorno-Karabakh confrontation region. French co-chair Hugh Perne stated that as a result of the visit. Stating his satisfaction with the visit to the region, Russian deputy foreign minister Vyacheslav Trubnikov noted the talks were useful for the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan and for the MG co-chairs getting the corresponding instructions “regarding the strategic movement”. Commenting on the election situation in Armenia and Azerbaijan, the co-chairs noted the co-chairs’ objective in that stage is not to criticize the heads of the states but to “improve the atmosphere”. At that, Rudolf Perina, the American co-chair, expressed the co-chairs’ hope that the coming presidential elections would not affect the talks and no interval would be.
