RUSSIAN DEPUTY FOREIGN MINISTER SPEAKS FOR MEETINGS OF ARMENIAN AND AZERI PRESIDENTS’ REPRESENTATIVES

“Armenian leadership plans to continue the talks on the Karabakh conflict settlement and assist the OSCE Minsk process”. RF first deputy foreign minister Vyacheslav Trubnikov stated that after the meeting of the OSCE Minsk group co-chairs with Armenian president Robert Kocharian in Yerevan. According to him, the meeting lasted for an hour and ten minutes. “The statement of the Armenian president inspires and gives hope to us”, Trubnikov stated. The meetings of the personal representatives of the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan for the Karabakh settlement “have a positive role and assist the OSCE Minsk group in its efforts”. “Undoubtedly the election situation in Armenia and Azerbaijan influences the peaceful process but the main thing is that the process continues. The last meeting of the Armenian and Azeri presidents in frontier village Sadarak is an evidence to that”, the Russian diplomat said.
