FAMOUS CANADIAN FILM MAKER PRESENTED WITH AN ARMENIAN ORDER

Atom Egoian, famous Canadian film-maker, is presented with the “Movses Khorenatsi” Armenian order. He was awarded for an important contribution into the Armenian culture. Atom Egoian and his wife, actress Arsine Khanjian were also issued passports of a special status of Republic of Armenia. Handing the passports over, RA president Robert Kocharian noted, “Ararat” film-maker’s last film stating about the tragic events of the Armenian people’s history can be evaluated as a substantial step in the process of the recognition of the 1915 Armenian genocide by the international community.
