One of the main topic of discussion at the meeting of Russian and Azeri presidents in Moscow is the Karabakh issue. As “Mediamax’ agency reports, Azeri president Heydar Aliyev stated that in the interview with journalists before leaving for Moscow. “Russia is a OSCE Minsk group co-chair, so this topic is always discussed at the meetings with Vladimir Putin”, Aliyev noted. Answering the question whether the construction of the Baku-Tbilisi-Jeyhan oil pipeline would have an impact of the conflict settlement and whether it would make difficulties if Azerbaijan decides to start military actions against Armenia and Karabakh, Aliyev noted, that the construction of the gas pipeline has no concerns with the Armenian-Azeri relations. “And whether the gas pipeline could become a hindrance to military actions then it is a question of future. But if there is a necessity for military actions, Azerbaijan will have the means for that”, Aliyev noted.
