The visit of Turkmenistan president Saparmurat Niyazov to Armenia will take place in the nearest future. Armenian ambassador to Turkmenistan Aram Grigorian has stated that in his interview with “Arminfo” agency. According to him, the exact terms of the visit are being specified through diplomatic sources. The meetings with the highest leadership of Armenia and signing of a number of agreements are expected. In particular, in the ambassador’s words, the signing of the agreement on cooperation in the sphere of seismology as well as the agreement of the Turkmen gas supply to Armenia are expected. Àram Grigorian noted that at present the necessary legal base allowing widespread cooperation is formed between the two states.
