ARMENIAN DELEGATION LEAVES FOR STRASBOURG TO PARTICIPATE IN PACE FALL SESSION MEETING

The Armenian delegation has left for Strasbourg to participate in the meeting of the fall session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) taking place September 23-27. As PACE Armenian delegation head Hovanes Hovannisian has stated in his interview with “Arka” agency, Armenia and Azerbaijan’s fulfillment of the commitments to the Council of Europe will be considered at the meeting. He noted, within the frameworks of the session, the Armenian delegation’s meeting with the PACE reporter on Nagorno-Karabakh Terry Davis at which the terms of the reporter’s visit to Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh planned for October 2002 will be specified would take place. It should be noted, that issues of Turkey’s fulfillment of the judgements of European court on human rights, the Iraqi situation and the situation at the Russian-Georgian border are on the agenda of the PACE session starting today in Strasbourg.
