PAKISTAN ATTACHES IMPORTANCE TO MILITARY COOPERATION WITH AZERBAIJAN AND READY TO RENDER ASSISTANCE AT ANY MOMENT

“Pakistan attaches importance to the military cooperation with Azerbaijan and is ready to render assistance to it at any moment”. Pakistani president Perves Musharaf stated that the other day at the meeting with Azeri defense minister Safar Abiyev. As “Arminfo” agency reports with reference to Azeri sources, the Pakistani head noted the importance of strengthening Azerbaijan’s economic and military potential in order to “suitably repulse enemy”. Abiyev called the agreement on Azerbaijan-Pakistan cooperation in defense and military spheres signed in the course of his visit historic. It should be noted that agreement particularly stipulates the cooperation in the sphere of military developments and defense industry, staff training and information exchange.
