ARMENIAN FOREIGN MINISTER LEAVING FOR NEW YORK TO PARTICIPATE IN UN GENERAL ASSEMBLY SESSION

September 13 Armenian foreign minister Vardan Oskanian will leave for New York to participate in 57-th session of the UN General Assembly. He will deliver a report at the session September 15. Within the framework of the visit V.Oskanian will hold bilateral meetings with heads of foreign ministries of a number of countries – in particular Iran, Russia and Israel. September 17 the minister will take part in conference titled “Eurasia Congress 2002: new circle of security and economic issues,” in which representatives of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Russia and Iran will participate. Within the framework of the visit to US V.Oskanian will lecture at a number of American universities on following topics: the impact of superpower policies on the South Caucasian region, Silken route in 21-st century, regional problems and others.
