“Much time is necessary to establish normal relations between Armenia and Turkey,” – US ambassador to Armenia John Ordway stated today. In his words, the US government welcomes Armenia’s readiness to establish intergovernmental relations with Turkey without putting forward any preconditions. As the ambassador noted, business circles of Armenia and Turkey, as well as some non-governmental organizations are already getting in touch. “Of course, there are forces in both countries, which approach such actions with apprehension and fear, but we are convinced that it is economically beneficial for both countries,” – J.Ordway emphasized.
