Yesterday Armenian and Azeri defense ministers Serge Sargsian and Safar Abiyev discussed the issues of preserving the cease-fire regime and preventing incidents on the frontier. The ministers’ meeting was held at the Tavush-Kazakh sector of the Armenian-Azeri border. As Serge Sargsian told the Armenian Public Television, this sector of the frontier has been rather disquiet for a long time due to fire opened by the two sides. “In this view the decision to meet, discuss the reasons and find solutions was made”, – he said. In the words of the Armenian minister, the military units of both countries received an order to refrain from firing.
