Some one thousand students of an Azeri Higher Military School left the institution territory late on September 3 evening. As reported by “Mediamax” agency, the cadets’ action of protest was directed against toughening of the education regime. With the help of the police subdivisions most of the students were returned to the school. Top officer staff of the Azeri defense ministry including minister Safar Abiyev arrived at the college for negotiations with them. The education at the school is held in accordance with NATO standards with Turkish military personnel participating.
