Replacing the World Trade Organization director general will not seriously tell on the process of Armenia’s accession to the WTO. Leader of the negotiation group on Armenia’s accession to WTO, deputy minister of trade and economic development of Armenia Tigran Davtian told it to “Arka” agency. Although he did not rule out that the new director might need some time to familiarize himself with the affairs. But T.Davtian noted that he did not think that the negotiation schedule might undergo serious changes. The final official meeting (at the level of the ministers of WTO member states) on Armenia’s accession to the organization will be held in the second half of September. After that the WTO General Council will confirm Armnenia’s membership in the organization at one of the meetings before the end of the year. Let us note that today in Geneva new director general of WTO Thai Supachai Panitchpakdi officially took office replacing Mike Moore.
