Iran displays interests towards the Treaty on Collective Security, specifically, to its activities in the Central Asian region. As reported by “Novosti” Russian agency, in the course of the meeting with secretary general of the Collective Security Council Nikolay Bordyuzha the Iranian ambassador to Russia was interested in issues “concerning the Treaty on Collective Security, as well as the situation in Afghanistan and Central Asia.” The ambassador also touched on “questions of cooperation in spheres of mutual interest.” It should be reminded that the Treaty on Collective Security comprises Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan.
