ARMENIA-EUROPEAN UNION INTER-PARLIAMENTARY COOPERATION COMMISSION FOURTH MEETING TO TAKE PLACE IN YEREVAN SEPTEMBER 9-10

The fourth meeting of the commission on Armenia-the European Union inter-parliamentary cooperation will take place in Yerevan September 9-10. The meeting agenda was considered at the meeting of the chairman of the RA parliamentary commission on foreign relations, co-chair of the commission on Armenia-the European Union inter-parliamentary cooperation Hovanes Hovanesian with Greek ambassador to Armenia Antonios Vlavionos that also represents Denmark chairing in the European Union. Vlavionos and Hovanesian emphasized the importance of the activation of the inter-parliamentary relations and the necessity of mutual visits. The issues regarding the Karabakh conflict settlement, recommencemenet of the Baku-Nakhichevan-Yerevan railway communication, the abolition of the death penalty in Armenia were discussed at the meeting.
