The Armenian special services are among the key partners of the corresponding structures of Russia. RF Federal Security Service director general of the Army Nikolay Patrushev stated that at the joint consultation of the RF FSS delegation and the RA National Security Ministry leading staff in Yerevan. “Professionalism of the Armenian MNS officials let us hope the struggle against international terror, organized crime will always be conducted on the highest level”, Patrushev noted. As a result of the consultation, an agreement that there will be information exchange as well as meetings of experts and analysts on the above mentioned spheres of the activities of the Armenian and Russian special services and “this will give the opportunity to cooperate on due level”. The consultation between the RA MNS and RF FSS resulted in signing of a final document and a number of protocols on the agreement on the information exchange, staff training and struggle against computer crimes. In the course of the consultation, the results of activities and issues of the two states on the struggle against the international terror, illegal migration, organized crime and crimes in the computer information sphere as well as on ensuring of economic, energy and nuclear security were presented. RA National Security minister, lieutenant general Karlos Petrosian, his deputies and the heads of the key departments of the ministry participated in the meeting.
