RF STATE DUMA COMMITTEE HEAD THINKS VISA TIGHTENED INSPECTION NECESSARY FOR ENTRIES FROM CIS

Some clauses of bilateral agreements on visa regulations between Russia and CIS state-members are to be considered, as they do not serve the national interests of Russia. Special Representative of the Russian president in the Kaliningrad region, head of the Russian State Duma committee for foreign affairs Dmitry Rogozin has stated that. According to him, “Scores of people with suspect documents from the CIS enter Russia quite easily”. For example, Rogozin noted in his interview with “Nezawisimaya gazeta”, “a person from the SIC having documents of a sailor form Tajikistan with no stamp and photo that was issued to a citizen of the ex-USSR on basis of birth-certificate can enter Russia easily”. As the Russian deputy reported, the inter-departmental group under the direction of deputy head of RF president administration Victor Ivanov has already begun to work on the amendments to the law on the entry to Russia.
