65 ATTEMPTS OF ENTRY WITH FORGED VISAS TO ARMENIA SUPPRESSED

65 attempts of entry with forged visas have been suppressed in Armenia. Armenian MFA consular department head Armen Yeganian has stated that. According to him, Armenia is a transit territory for illegal migrants mainly from China, India and Pakistan that try to move to Europe or the USA. “Armenia plans to develop tourism and established quite tolerant visa regulations and illegal migrants make use of it”, Yeganian noted. At the same time he noted the growing tendency of cases of illegal crossings of the Armenian border has been observed recently. “This mean it is necessary to have a stricter control but at that we have to seek ways not preventing tourism development”, Yeganian stated.
