IBF, WBC and WBA super flyweight king Vic Darchinyan pummeled WBA interim champ Jorge Arce Saturday to win by an 11th-round technical knockout at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
The result was never in doubt. Darchinyan was ahead 109-100 on all three judges’ scorecards before the doctor determined that the cuts on both of Arce’s eyes made a 12th round unsafe.
After taking a terrible thrashing from Darchinyan, Arce had to be taken to hospital.
