ACTIVE BUILDING OF ARMENIAN CHURCHES IN SOUTH OF RUSSIA

The building of Armenian churches expands in the South of Russia. As “Yerkramas” newspaper stated, head of the South Russian diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church bishop Movses Movsesian stated that July 22. In the nearest fall, “Surb Sargis” in Slavyansk-na-Kubani (Krasnodar Territory), a little later the church in Pyatigork (Stavropol Territory) will be consecrated. Almost at the same time, the Armenian Church in Maykop (Republic of Adigeya) and the Armenian Church in Tengink village, Tuapse region of Kuban will be also consecrated. The construction works are conducted also in Stavropol city and in Dagestan where the Armenian church is being built in Kizlyar city. The reconstruction of the Armenian church founded in IV century has been started in Derbent. In fall, this year, the area for the building of the new church in Budyonovsk (Stavropol Territory) will be consecrated. The construction of the building of the South Russian diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Krasnodar will started this year also.
