The 8th meeting of the subcommittee on Armenia-EU trade, economic and legal cooperation was held in Yerevan on Feb. 17.
The participants focused on the following issues: implementation of the Armenia -EU cooperation agreement, Armenia-EU Action Plan within European Neighborhood Policy, recent economic developments in the republic and improvements in investment environment.
Besides, prospects of bilateral economic cooperation, including a possibility for free trade agreement between Armenia and European Union, the final stage of granting market economy status to Armenia, further development of economic cooperation within GSP+ system, macroeconomic development in Armenia, and issues related to the Eastern Partnership initiative were discussed.
