AZERBAIJAN CANNOT REFUSE COOPERATION WITH EUROPE BECAUSE THEY IN EUROPE RECOGNIZE ARMENIAN GENOCIDE, AZERI OPPOSITION THINKS

The leaders of the opposition parties of Azerbaijan have called on the PACE monitoring group reporters Andreas Gross and Martines Cesan to remove the head of the Azeri delegation to PACE, Azeri president’s son Ilham Aliyev and to replace him with a more loyal parliamentarian. At the same time, leader of the “Musavat” Azeri party Isa Hambar has expressed his disagreement regarding the charges of pro-Armenian attitude against Gross. “We have to realize that the liberation of occupied Azeri territories is not the task of Gross but the Azeri people and first of all, Heydar Aliyev’s administration”, the “Musavat” leader stated. At that, Hambar negatively characterized the fact that Andreas Gross recognizes the Armenian Genocide in Ottoman Turkey. Hambar added, for 90 years “Armenians have built up a corresponding presentation of their history”. “But Azerbaijan cannot refuse the cooperation with the Europe because of that”, “Musavat” leader noted.
