EUROPEAN UNION NOT MAKE ANY STATEMENTS REGARDING PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS IN NAGORNO-KARABAKH

The European Union has not made any statements regarding the legality or illegality of the presidential election in Nagorno-Karabakh. Armenian foreign minister press secretary Dzyunik Aghajanian has stated that in her interview with the “Arka” agency. According to her, distored facts regarding several documents even on the highest level have been recently spread in the Azeri media. As an example, she cited the recent statement of the Azeri president regarding the talks in Key West that did not correspond to the reality either. As regards the information that at the meeting of the Council of the partnership and cooperation of the European Union, it was allegedly passed a document stating the European Union’s position regarding the illegality of conducting of presidential election as well as any other elections in Nagorno-Karabakh, then, according to Aghajanian, such a document cannot be considered an official statement. As a result of the meetings of that kind, protocols stating the issues considered, agreements reached and etc are usually passed, the press secretary noted.
