MEETINGS IN “CAUCASIAN FOUR” FORMAT TO CONTINUE

The private meeting of the heads of the parliaments of “Caucasian four” states – Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Russia has taken place in Saint Petersburg. As press secretary of the RF Federation Council chairman Sergey Mironov stated in his interview with “ITAR-TASS” agency “the meeting took place in a friendly atmosphere”. The discussion on a number of urgent issues regarding intergovernmental relations took place. A resolution to continue the informal meetings of “Caucasian four” format was made, the press secretary stated, at that, not excluding the possibility that the next meeting would take place in fall, 2002.
