People’s Artist of Armenia Suren Chanchuryan passed away at 72 on Mar 4. The President Serzh Sargsyan addressed his condolences to the family of the artist
One of the first artists of State dance ensemble Suren Chanchuryan offered a truly Armenian performance at different scenes of the world. Being the art director of State dance ensemble in the years of blockade and war in Armenia, Suren Chanchuryan managed to save the legendary ensemble from collapse.
The civil funeral rites will be held on Mar. 6 in Great Hall the Philharmonic society after Aram Khatchaturyan.
