The Armenian army is preparing for major tactical and tactical professional drills on March 16-20, with the involvement of 7500 infantry and special forces troops, the Defense Ministry said Friday, March 12.
The military exercise seeks to:
– test the combat readiness of the forces and the operational management capabilities, as well as the ability to act quickly in a situation;
– clarify issues of cooperation between the staff and supporting forces;
– conduct fire management trainings of subdivisions with operative-tactical scenarios and combat and non-combat shooting.
The drills will involve about 200 missile, rocket artillery and artillery systems, more than 150 anti-tank systems, some 100 armored vehicles, over 90 air defense systems, as well as aviation.
