The resolution “On situation in the sphere of migration and inter-ethnic relations in the Krasnodar Territory” passed by the Federation Council of Russia states that. The document states the current situation regarding the inter-ethnic relations observed in a number of regions of Russia “threatens the national security of the country”. The RF government is entrusted to develop a bill restricting the settling of migrants in the RF autonomies and to submit it for consideration of the State Duma. The Russian parliamentarians also suggest the government to consider “the opportunities of the temporal resettlement of the people, who are not RF citizens, from the regions with the opposition situation”. Besides, the Federation Council thinks “the creation of conditions for immediate repatriation of Turks-Meshetins temporarily residing in Russia to Georgia necessary”.
