UNO regional director for East Europe and the CIS countries Calman Mijey has welcomed the economic growth observed in Armenia after independence declaration. In the course of the meeting with the Armenian premier Andranik Margarian, Mijey expressed hope that Armenia would find its place in the executive committee of the UNO development program, that is a key body in that organization for the coordination of consultation services and assistance. The parties also considered the strategic program for poverty level decrease noting the importance of the preparation and realization of that document with joint efforts. The close cooperation with the UNO development program is a priority for Armenia and that is why it will be continued in the future, the Armenian government head noted.
