Armenia is deeply concerned about the ongoing clashes in Jerusalem, the Foreign Ministry said Tuesday, May 11, amid unrest and deadly exchange of fire between Palestinians and Israel in Gaza.
"We call on all parties involved to exercise restraint in order to reduce tensions and prevent further civilian casualties," the Foreign Ministry said
Over 200 rockets were fired from Gaza into Israeli territory and the IDF struck some 140 targets in the Strip, in light of clashes in Jerusalem between Israeli security forces and Palestinians, Haaretz said earlier.
Palestinian media have reported 24 deaths in Israeli strikes, following rocket fire at the Jerusalem area and southern Israel, as tensions in the region boiled over on Monday, May 10.
