PACE MONITORING GROUP REFUSED TO VISIT BAKU

A letter signed by Azeri parliament chair Murtuz Aleskerov suggesting to expel reporter Andreas Gross from the PACE monitoring group that was going to visit Baku 15 July was received in the Council of Europe July 10. As “Turan” agency reports, in the Council of Europe, such a proposal was taken as “impermissible pressure” as a result of which the PACE made a decision to postpone the visit of the monitoring group to Baku. According to influential circles of the Council of Europe, the activities of the official Baku will have “serious and negative” consequence for Baku.
